Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah met Thai Minister of Culture Vira Rojpojchanarat in Bangkok today and signed a memorandum of understanding on Cultural Co-operation. This created an enabling environment to strengthen relations against the backdrop of the Belt & Road Initiative. The Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region) Government is going to set up an Economic & Trade Office in Thailand, which will be a further impetus to closer ties.

An ensemble led by me and CY Leo conducted a musical performance at the China Cultural Center in Bangkok. Mr. Lau and over 300 people were watching the show that night.
